The 9th Floor Foundation was created in 2009 by Matt and Kristin Spengler in honor of their son James who is a pediatric cancer survivor. James was diagnosed with an extremely rare sarcoma at the age of 2. He received lifesaving treatment at The Pediatric Hospital within Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) in New York. All of the funds raised through the 9th Floor Foundation go directly to the cost of lifesaving medical treatments through MSK’s Pediatric Family Assistance Fund.
